Yaanendriya, a startup incubated at ARTPark, is indigenizing India's sensor ecosystem for autonomous systems. With a mission to build a resilient, high-performance sensor ecosystem, Yaanendriya focuses on Inertial Measurement Units (IMU)-based sensing modules to reduce dependency on imports. They aim to position India as a leader in advanced sensor solutions. The startup is led by Vamshi BMV (CEO), Vijay HP (CTO), Vyshak Y (COO), and Prof. SN Omkar; Chief Scientist at Aerospace IlSc (Chief Advisor). Prof Omkar told DH, that IMU sensors, are helpful for not only aerial vehicles but ground vehicles as well. "This will basically help drones, UG Vs, unmanned ground vehicles or unmanned aerial vehicles to navigate in an environment without GPS, he added" "IMUs also have applications in bio-mechanics. For example, if you are developing some gaming software with body mounted sensors, IMU sensor are involved. To the best of our knowledge ours is the only startup in India dealing with not only such sensors but also related analytics and software, Prof Omkar added"
